handling a benchmark in parallel (on a cluster) does not work

I commented out parallel execution in source:branches/working_concept2/src/benchmark.py ... it did not work well since ipython1 is still experimental and was to set-up specific... maybe we may use a more generic way.

  • it is useful when the benchmark is a list of a large number of experiments
  • is it important? nest2 arrives and will cover most of the needs?

I have the impression that benchmark.py is no longer being either used or developed, so have closed this ticket.

Re-open it if there is a plan to move this into trunk
